Vector Lights for Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness

Vector Lights is shining green in support of Sweet Louise, the only charity in NZ dedicated to providing practical, emotional and social care and support for New Zealanders living with incurable breast cancer. Green represents the triumph of spring over winter, life over death; teal symbolises healing and spirituality; and pink signifies the cancer that originated in the breast. Sweet Louise relies on donations from caring Kiwis, so they can continue helping people to live as well as possible, for as long as possible. Visit sweetlouise.org.nz to make a donation.

OUR HARBOUR BRIDGE - A SYMBOL OF CHANGE AND A ROAD TO GROWTH

A harbour crossing was first proposed in 1860, however it was considered too expensive at that time. Construction on the bridge finally began in 1954 and took several years to complete. Until the bridge’s opening in 1959, the fastest way to get from the north shore to Auckland was by ferry; by car it was a 50km drive.
