Vector Lights for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Awareness Day 2025
9 September is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) International Awareness Day and Vector Lights is shining red. FASD is a lifelong disability that affects people who were exposed to alcohol in the womb. It is estimated there are 60,000 young New Zealanders under 18 years old currently living with FASD and up to 3000 babies may be born with it over the next year. FASD Care Action Network unites whānau, strengthens communities and advocates for improved awareness, services and greater support for people living with FASD.
