Tāmaki Makaurau is the first major international city to welcome in the New Year, and Vector Lights will light up in the countdown to 2024.

Vector Lights will appoint an Auckland based artist to deliver a new dynamic light and sound show on Auckland’s iconic Harbour Bridge for Auckland Anniversary Day.

Vector Lights for Matariki Festival tells the story of the festival’s iwi manaaki (host iwi), Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and the theme Ahi Kā roa (burning fires).

Vector Lights show for the Festive Season is based on the story A Pūkeko in a Ponga Tree by author Ihaka Kingi – a New Zealand adaption of the popular song The Twelve Days of Christmas. 

2022 is the 182nd commemoration of the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) between tangata whenua and the Crown.
